Waterproof Work Boots
Boots for foot protection have standards to meet by The international standard ASTM F2413-05 as specifications for performance requirements for foot injury prevention and protection. The standard is an effort to help protect against toe, metatarsal, and foot bottom injuries. General requirements 1910.136(a) from OSHA states that the employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses protective footwear/rubber boots when working in areas where there is a danger of foot injuries due to falling or rolling objects, or objects piercing the sole, and where such employee's feet are exposed to electrical hazards. When working in an industrial setting, the safety shoe boots to wear must be OSHA compliant and meet the PPE requirements set by the specific employer.
