Choosing Vests for Off-Road Work Areas

Confirm the ANSI/ISEA 107 type and performance class shown on the garment label before ordering. Select high-visibility apparel according to the workplace hazard assessment, vehicle exposure, lighting, background complexity, worker tasks, and site requirements.

Type O Class 1 and non-ANSI vests are not interchangeable. Reflective material or bright color alone does not establish ANSI/ISEA compliance. Workers exposed to roadway traffic or temporary traffic-control zones may require Type R Class 2 or Class 3 apparel.
