OSHA 29 CFR 1910.136 requires protective footwear where specified foot hazards exist. OSHA 1910.132 addresses hazard assessment, fit, training, and damaged PPE. These are employer requirements, not OSHA certification of this boot.

A steel midsole alone does not establish a documented puncture-resistance rating. No electrical-hazard or metatarsal-protection rating is established by the reviewed PB22 documentation. Select additional protection when the task requires it.

Cordova describes resistance to solvents, animal fats, light acids, alcohols, and oil-based chemicals. Obtain substance-specific compatibility information before exposure to cleaners, sanitizers, or process liquids. The manufacturer states that component materials meet federal food-contact regulations. This does not replace facility hygiene procedures or chemical selection. Try boots with work socks, checking toe clearance, heel movement, and shaft fit. Do not apply over-shoe sizing instructions to this over-sock model.
