Shoulder-Length Thermal Protection for Ultra-Cold Work
Tempshield® shoulder-length Cryo-Gloves® provide extended hand, wrist, forearm, and upper-arm coverage for handling dry ice, retrieving materials from ultra-low-temperature freezers, and operating closed cryogenic systems. Tempshield specifies this multi-layer glove for cryogenic applications down to -196°C (-320°F).
This is the standard, non-waterproof Cryo-Gloves model. It is not made with a GORE-TEX liner and is not intended for immersion, deliberate liquid contact, or work where exposure to cryogenic splashes may occur. Select the appropriate waterproof cryogenic glove when the workplace hazard assessment identifies spill or splash exposure.

Tempshield Shoulder-Length Cryogenic Gloves FAQ
What are these shoulder-length Cryo-Gloves used for?
They are designed for dry ice handling, ultra-low-temperature freezers, cryogenically chilled materials, and closed cryogenic systems where extended arm coverage is needed.
Can these gloves be used around liquid nitrogen?
They may be selected for suitable work around closed liquid-nitrogen systems and objects chilled by cryogenic temperatures. This standard model is not waterproof and is not intended for immersion, deliberate liquid contact, or tasks with potential liquid splash.
Are these cryogenic gloves waterproof?
No. These are standard Tempshield Cryo-Gloves. Waterproof Cryo-Gloves are a separate product line with a waterproof liner for tasks where spill or splash exposure may occur.
What temperature are these gloves designed for?
Tempshield specifies Cryo-Gloves for cryogenic applications down to -196°C (-320°F). This does not make them suitable for immersion in cryogenic liquids.
How long are the shoulder-length gloves?
Their overall length ranges from approximately 24.5 to 27.25 inches, depending on glove size.
How should cryogenic gloves fit?
They should fit loosely enough to be removed quickly. Order your normal size, and select by hand width when hand-length and hand-width measurements indicate different sizes.
