Temperature Resistant Gloves

Hand Protection for Every Temperature Extreme

Some jobs put your hands in the heat. Others put them in the cold. Temperature resistant gloves are built to handle both — rated for extreme heat in foundry and welding environments, and deep cold in freezer and outdoor operations.

Part of our full range of Industrial Work Gloves, these gloves protect where standard gloves fail.

Heat Resistant vs. Cold Resistant — What's the Difference?

Temperature resistant is a broad category covering two distinct hazard types:

Heat-resistant gloves protect against radiant heat, open flame, hot surfaces, and molten material. They're rated by contact temperature tolerance and are required in foundry, welding, glass handling, and industrial oven work.

Cold-resistant gloves protect against low temperatures, wind chill, and frozen surfaces. They use insulated liners and moisture-resistant shells to keep hands functional in freezers, cold storage, and outdoor winter work.

Some gloves are rated for both. Always match the glove's temperature rating to your specific exposure level.

For extended cold work beyond the gloves, pair with our Cold Weather Work Gloves — a dedicated insulated range for outdoor workers. For environments combining heat with chemical exposure, see our Chemical Resistant Gloves.

Types of Temperature Resistant Gloves

Aluminized Heat Gloves Reflective outer shell deflects radiant heat. Standard in foundry, casting, and glass manufacturing where workers handle extreme heat sources at close range.

Terry and Kevlar Heat Gloves Flexible, lightweight protection for moderate heat tasks. Used in food processing, industrial ovens, and general heat handling where dexterity still matters.

Welding Gloves Heavy leather construction with heat-resistant lining. Designed for sustained arc welding, MIG, and TIG applications. Browse our full Welding Safety & Accessories for a complete welding PPE setup.

Freezer and Cold Storage Gloves Insulated liners rated for sustained cold exposure. Designed for freezer warehouse workers, cold chain logistics, and outdoor operations below freezing. Pair with our Extreme Cold Weather Clothing for full body cold protection.

Complete Your Thermal PPE Kit

Temperature hazards rarely stop at the hands. Protect the full body for the same environments:

Welding Helmets — face and eye protection for heat and arc flash

Leather Welding Clothes — heat-rated jackets and sleeves that pair directly with temperature-resistant gloves

Flame Retardant Clothing — FR body protection for the same buyers working around heat and fire hazards

Extreme Cold Weather Clothing — full body insulation to match cold-rated gloves in freezer and outdoor environments

 Industry Applications

Manufacturing & Foundry Casting, forging, heat treatment, and glass handling all require gloves rated for sustained thermal contact. The right glove isn't optional — it's the difference between a safe shift and a serious burn. See our Manufacturing PPE Solutions for a complete thermal protection kit.

Cold Storage & Freezer Operations Freezer workers handle product and equipment for full shifts in sub-zero conditions. Cold-rated gloves reduce injury risk and help workers maintain grip and function throughout. Explore our Cold Storage & Freezer PPE Solutions for a full cold environment kit.

Food Processing Oven loading, steam handling, and cold chain production all create temperature hazards on the same floor. Temperature resistant gloves are a compliance requirement in most food processing facilities. Browse our Food Processing PPE Solutions to equip your line.
