ANSI and EN ratings use different methods and scales. Cut resistance is not cut-proof protection; the puncture result is not a hypodermic-needle rating. Contact-heat classification does not establish a safe handling duration or suitability for flames, welding or electrical work.

Applicable OSHA Requirements

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138 requires appropriate hand protection based on identified hazards, glove performance, task conditions and exposure duration. OSHA 1910.132(d) requires workplace hazard assessment and properly fitting PPE. These employer requirements do not constitute OSHA product approval.
