Key features

  • Particulate filtration for approved North configurations.
  • Pad format for compatible mounting assemblies.
  • Ten-filter package for replacement stock.
  • Model-specific NIOSH approval label available.

Applications

Where the assessment permits N99 non-oil filtration:

  • Selected manufacturing dust exposures.
  • Maintenance involving non-oil particulates.
  • Assessed powder handling operations.
  • Replacement stock for established respirator programs.

Understand the N99 rating

N99 specifies at least 99% particulate filtration efficiency. It is different from N95, which specifies 95%, and P100, which specifies 99.97%. N99 filters are not resistant to oil. Choose an appropriate oil-resistant filter when the exposure includes oil aerosols.

The efficiency rating describes filter testing, not the protection received by every wearer. Facepiece fit, contaminant concentration, assembly, and correct use affect the complete system. These pads alone do not remove gases or vapors, and their rating does not establish suitability for smoke, firefighting, or unknown atmospheres.

Match the mounting hardware

For direct attachment to an approved facepiece, the N750037 kit supplies N750015 holders and N750027 covers. When pads are used with approved gas/vapor cartridges, the N750036 assembly uses N750038 supports and N750027 covers. Verify the exact combination on the approval label before ordering.

Check your existing North filter holder kit when replacing pads in a direct-mount assembly. A replacement pad is not a complete filter holder assembly or a chemical cartridge.

The manufacturer lists compatible North half-mask and full-facepiece families. Confirm the individual model and configuration rather than assuming that every North component is interchangeable. Confirm cartridge compatibility using the part numbers shown on the approval label.

Review the Honeywell 7506N99 NIOSH approval label for permitted assemblies and limitations.

North N99 filter FAQ

Does ten filters mean ten pairs?

No. Ten individual pads provide five pairs for compatible respirators using two pads per assembly.

Can I use these pads without a chemical cartridge?

Yes, when the approved configuration uses the correct holders and covers directly on the facepiece. Keep the filter model and mounting hardware on your replacement parts list. If the job also involves gases or vapors, have the respiratory program administrator select an approved combination for those contaminants before starting work at your facility.
