Honeywell North 7584P100L cartridges combine ammonia and methylamine gas protection with P100 particulate filtration for approved North respirators. Sold as a pack of two, they provide one replacement pair for a compatible dual-cartridge facepiece. The respirator is sold separately.
For refrigeration maintenance, chemical handling and facility PPE programs, match the cartridge to the measured exposure and exact respirator model before ordering. A particulate-only filter does not protect against ammonia gas.

Respirator Compatibility
Honeywell lists North 5500, 7700, RU8500 and RU8800 half masks, plus 5400, RU6500 and 7600 full facepieces for its N-Series cartridges. Verify the exact facepiece and configuration against the linked 7584P100L approval label. Do not substitute another brand's facepiece or assume every Honeywell connection is interchangeable.
P100 Classification and Use Limits
P100 identifies at least 99.97% particulate filtration under NIOSH test conditions and an oil-proof filter classification. It does not describe gas removal efficiency or guarantee that percentage of protection for the wearer. See the NIOSH filter classification guide.
These cartridges do not supply oxygen. Do not use in oxygen-deficient, unknown-concentration or immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) atmospheres. Do not select them for unlisted gases or vapors.
OSHA Respiratory Protection Requirements
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 requires appropriate respirator selection, medical evaluation, fit testing, training and a written program for required workplace use. Establish a documented gas-cartridge change schedule based on objective information unless an appropriate approved end-of-service-life indicator is used. Do not rely on smell to decide when protection has expired.

Is 7584P100L the same as a Defender multipurpose cartridge?
No. It is an ammonia/methylamine P100 cartridge. Honeywell uses Defender for separate multipurpose models with different contaminant approvals.
Does one pack contain two pairs?
No. Each pack contains two cartridges, equivalent to one pair.
Can I use these for emergency ammonia leak response?
Not for unknown or IDLH conditions. Those conditions require equipment and procedures selected for the specific emergency.
