Protection and Selection
Type I describes protection against impacts to the top of the head. A full brim does not establish Type II lateral-impact protection. It adds shade and helps shed rain, but does not replace safety glasses, face protection or other task-specific PPE. The flag design does not establish a high-visibility rating.
