MCR Safety 3201 Unlined Cowhide Driver Gloves

MCR Safety 3201 unlined cowhide driver gloves use Select B grade grain leather for general handling tasks involving rough materials. A straight thumb, shirred elastic back and slip-on cuff provide a traditional driver-glove fit without an insulating liner. ASA SKU MEM3201 is sold by the dozen, with 12 pairs per order.

Manufacturer-Listed Performance

MCR Safety lists abrasion level 3, puncture level 3 and contact heat level 2 for model 3201. Its product page separately lists EN 388 abrasion level 2. These abrasion results use different rating systems and should not be treated as interchangeable numbers.

A puncture score does not establish protection against needles or every sharp object. No numerical cut rating is listed in the reviewed manufacturer documentation. Select separately verified cut protection when handling sharp edges presents a hazard.

The contact heat score is not a welding, flame or electrical rating. Review the manufacturer's conditions of use before handling heated parts. These performance results describe particular tests; they do not constitute blanket certification for every workplace application.

Fit and Handling

The unlined construction avoids the added bulk of an insulating layer. The gathered elastic back helps hold the glove around the hand, while the open cuff allows convenient removal. Cotton hems are color-coded to help identify sizes during distribution.

Try the selected size with the tools and materials used on the job. Check fingertip control, thumb movement and grip. Reassess handling when leather or work surfaces become wet or oily. Choose a different construction if the task requires a liquid barrier or additional cuff coverage.
