Honeywell North 75852P100L cartridges combine mercury vapor and chlorine protection with P100 particulate filtration. They are replacement cartridge/filter assemblies for approved Honeywell North respirators, with an end-of-service-life indicator (ESLI) specifically for mercury vapor. The facepiece is sold separately.
For purchasing and EHS teams, the exact contaminant, exposure concentration and respirator configuration determine suitability. This model is not a general-purpose multigas cartridge, and its mercury indicator does not monitor chlorine service life.

Compatible Respirator Systems
The manufacturer approval label includes North 5400, 5500, 7600, 7700, RU6500, RU8500 and RU8800 configurations. Match the exact facepiece and components to that label before use. A physical connection alone does not establish an approved assembly.
ESLI and Cartridge Replacement
The mercury ESLI must be used according to the manufacturer's instructions, including its inspection and replacement requirements. It does not indicate chlorine breakthrough or particulate-filter loading. Establish a chlorine change schedule using objective service-life information; do not rely on smell, taste or irritation to determine replacement.
P100 and OSHA Requirements
P100 means at least 99.97% particulate filtration under NIOSH test conditions, with an oil-proof classification. It is not a gas-removal percentage or a guarantee of wearer protection. See the NIOSH filter classification guide.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 requires appropriate selection, medical evaluation, fit testing, training and a written respiratory protection program for required workplace use. These cartridges do not supply oxygen. Do not use below 19.5% oxygen, in unknown concentrations or in immediately dangerous to life or health (IDLH) conditions.

Can a standard P100 filter replace this cartridge?
No. A particulate-only P100 filter does not provide mercury vapor or chlorine gas protection.
Does the ESLI cover both listed gases?
No. Honeywell identifies the ESLI for mercury vapor. Chlorine requires a separate, appropriate change schedule.
Is this approved for every Honeywell respirator?
No. Use only the complete configurations listed on the manufacturer's approval label and follow the supplied instructions.
