Selection and System Compatibility
Choose the buckle style that suits the workforce and inspection routine. Fit the harness to each user, verify connector compatibility and calculate clearance using the lanyard instructions. A 6 ft lanyard requires more space than its nominal length once deceleration, harness movement and safety margin are considered. Do not use the lanyard for tie-back unless its instructions expressly permit that connection.
Manufacturer-Listed Standards
DFP’s kit page identifies ANSI Z359.11-2021 for the harness and Z359.13-2013 for the lanyard. It lists 310 lb ANSI and 420 lb OSHA-use ratings; verify the supplied component labels and instructions before selecting user capacity. These ratings do not replace inspection, clearance planning or employer fall-protection duties.
Inspection and Safety
Read the instructions before use. Inspect equipment before each use, remove damaged or fall-loaded equipment from service, and arrange prompt rescue. Follow applicable OSHA construction fall-protection requirements or general-industry personal fall-protection requirements.
