Allegro 2050-01 irritant smoke replacement tubes replenish the test agent used with Allegro smoke fit testing equipment. Each box contains six stannic chloride tubes for qualitative respirator fit testing by trained administrators. These are replacement consumables, not a complete kit: a pump, aspirator assembly and carrying pouch are not included.

OSHA Method and Respirator Limits
OSHA 1910.134 Appendix A, Part I.B.5 requires HEPA or P100 series filters for irritant-smoke testing. Do not use this method for standard N95 respirators or improvise a P100 prefilter attachment. A test hood or enclosure is prohibited; adequate ventilation and sensitivity checks are required.
Under OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134, qualitative testing of negative-pressure air-purifying respirators is limited to uses at no more than 10 times the permissible exposure limit. Full-face respirators intended for APF 50 use require quantitative testing.
Handling and Supply Planning
The smoke-tube SDS identifies skin corrosion, serious eye damage and respiratory irritation hazards. Follow manufacturer handling and disposal instructions and the OSHA procedure to control exposure of the wearer and administrator. A passing fit test does not guarantee a perfect seal during future use.
Allegro’s 2055 specification sheet estimates three to five fit tests per tube. Treat that as a planning estimate, not a guaranteed yield. Follow the equipment instructions and maintain sufficient replacement stock for the testing session.

Does this box include an aspirator bulb?
No. It contains replacement tubes. Use them with your compatible Allegro fit test equipment.
Can these tubes be used with the powered 2055 kit?
Yes. Allegro lists 2050-01 as the replacement tube pack for both the standard 2050 and deluxe powered 2055 kits.
Do the tubes measure cartridge service life?
No. Fit testing evaluates respirator fit. It does not determine when workplace gas/vapor cartridges need replacement.
