Moldex Pura-Fit Foam Earplugs - NRR 33 dB, Box of 200 Pairs

Moldex Pura-Fit Uncorded Foam Earplugs | NRR 33 dB | Box of 200 Pairs

Moldex Pura-Fit 6800 uncorded foam earplugs supply industrial hearing protection programs with 200 individually packaged pairs per box. These green disposable earplugs have an NRR of 33 dB, a tapered profile and a smooth outer surface. Their extended length helps workers grasp the plugs during fitting and removal.

The uncorded format has no connecting cord to manage during wear. Individual paper pouches support distribution at employee entrances, visitor stations and facility supply points. Correct selection still depends on workplace exposure and the protection achieved by the wearer.

Buying Guide: Uncorded or Corded?

Choose uncorded earplugs when the task or wearer preference calls for separate plugs without a connecting cord. For a connected pair, compare Moldex Pura-Fit 6900 corded earplugs, supplied in boxes of 100 pairs. Review site rules and equipment hazards before choosing either format.

This listing supplies packaged pairs, not a dispenser. For recurring purchasing, calculate demand by workers, shifts and replacement frequency. Keep unopened pairs accessible before workers enter designated noise areas, and provide fitting instruction when issuing them to visitors or new employees.

Fitting and Disposable Care

Fit the plugs with clean hands according to the package instructions. Check the seal before entering hazardous noise and obtain assistance if a comfortable fit cannot be achieved. Green coloring helps identify the product; it does not verify insertion depth, seal or personal attenuation.

Moldex states that disposable foam earplugs must not be washed or cleaned. Discard soiled plugs and replace them as needed, potentially during a shift. Follow the packaging storage directions and use-by date.

Hearing Protection Standards

Moldex reports independent testing to ANSI S3.19-1974. The NRR is a laboratory rating and does not guarantee a 33 dB reduction for every worker.

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95 requires general-industry hearing conservation programs at an eight-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA or greater, with applicable fitting, training and attenuation evaluation.

NIOSH recommends individual quantitative fit testing to determine personal attenuation. Select protection using measured exposure and fit results. Earplugs alone do not replace required noise controls or establish OSHA compliance.
