Consider the Mustang MV1254 T1
The Mustang MV1254 T1 industrial mesh vest is an option to evaluate. It has a different design and size-dependent approval information, so it is not a guaranteed direct replacement. Check wearer fit, task requirements and any harness arrangement before switching.
Safety and Documentation
Historical Type III flotation information does not establish approval for every vessel or work assignment. Follow the replacement’s own label and instructions. For construction where drowning hazards exist, OSHA 1926.106 requires USCG-approved flotation and inspections. Selection must also fit the work and rescue plan.
Preserving an Existing Equipment Record
No exact current Ship Mate II datasheet was verified for this ASA item. Do not apply the replacement’s certificate or technical data to the old vest. Record the original unit’s model and approval label if you need to compare fleet equipment.
