Approval and Fit
Mustang currently lists S/M, L/XL and 2XL/3XL as USCG/Transport Canada harmonized Level 70. Its 4XL/5XL listing remains USCG Type III, offered in the United States. Match the supplied vest’s label to the required size and application; manufacturer documents differ on the largest size’s chest range. USCG explains PFD performance levels and fit.
Workplace Selection
For construction where drowning hazards exist, OSHA 1926.106 requires USCG-approved flotation and inspections. Selection must also fit the work and rescue plan. The harness opening does not make this vest fall-arrest equipment. Verify the combined fit and function of both products. SOLAS-grade trim is not whole-vest SOLAS approval or an ANSI high-visibility garment rating.

Is the T1 an ANSI-rated traffic vest?
Do not assign the T3 high-visibility rating to this orange T1 model. Reflective trim alone does not establish that rating.
Does the vest include a fall-arrest harness?
No. The rear opening provides access for a separate compatible harness.
