Moldex Pura-Fit 6900 Corded Foam Earplugs | NRR 33 dB | 100 Pairs
Moldex Pura-Fit 6900 corded foam earplugs provide disposable hearing protection for workplace noise programs. Each box contains 100 individually packaged pairs with an NRR of 33 dB. The tapered, extended profile helps workers grasp the plugs for fitting and removal, while the soft foam and smooth surface support comfortable wear.
The connecting cord keeps each pair together between uses. Bright green plugs are easy to identify, but their visibility does not confirm correct insertion or adequate protection. Select them using exposure measurements and the fit achieved by each worker.

Key Features
- Tapered shape and extended length assist handling.
- Soft foam with a smooth outer surface.
- Individual pouches simplify employee distribution.
- Made in the USA, according to Moldex.
Common Uses and Applications
- Manufacturing and production lines.
- Construction and industrial maintenance.
- Warehouse and logistics noise-control programs.
- Facility and municipal PPE distribution stations.
These applications require a task-specific noise assessment. The same earplug may not provide suitable attenuation for every worker, machine or shift pattern.
Choosing Corded Hearing Protection
Corded plugs help keep a pair accessible between noise exposures. Check for entanglement hazards around machinery before selecting this style. Leave hazardous noise before removing hearing protection to communicate or take a break.
For recurring orders, count pairs rather than individual plugs. One box supplies 100 paired sets. Plan replenishment around crew size, shifts and replacement frequency, and keep stock accessible before entry into designated noise areas. Use wearer trials and fit results before standardizing across a facility.
Fitting, Care and Replacement
Follow the package fitting instructions with clean hands, and check the seal before entering hazardous noise. Training should include supervised practice and a clear way to report discomfort or poor fit. Do not assume one shape fits every ear.
Moldex states that disposable foam plugs must not be washed or cleaned. Discard soiled plugs; replacement may be needed during a shift. Follow the package storage directions and use-by date.
Hearing Protection Standards
Moldex reports independent attenuation testing to ANSI S3.19-1974. NRR is a laboratory rating, not a guaranteed 33 dB reduction for every wearer.
OSHA Occupational Noise Exposure guidance explains workplace noise hazards. 29 CFR 1910.95 requires general-industry hearing conservation programs at an eight-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA or greater, along with applicable fitting, training and attenuation evaluation.
NIOSH recommends individual quantitative fit testing to determine personal attenuation. A package rating alone does not establish OSHA compliance.
