Foam Nitrile Work Gloves
Cordova Conquest Max 6920 gloves combine a 15-gauge nylon/spandex shell with a micro-foam nitrile/PU coating and nitrile grip dots. Designed for handling tasks involving light oil, they provide ANSI A1 cut resistance with abrasion level 5 and puncture level 2 performance. Applications
Consider for general assembly, automotive assembly and repair, component handling, plumbing and maintenance. Match the glove to the actual edges, surfaces and substances involved. Jobs within the same trade can require different cut, chemical or puncture protection, so select by task rather than job title alone.
Grip for Light-Oil Handling
The micro-foam coating helps move light oil away from the gripping surface, while the raised dots provide additional contact texture. Check grip using representative tools or parts before issuing gloves across a work area. Heavy oil, contamination and surface condition can change handling performance.
Three-quarter coating does not enclose the entire glove. Do not treat this construction as a waterproof barrier or select it for chemical exposure solely because the coating contains nitrile. Chemical protection requires compatibility information for the substance, concentration and expected contact.
Applicable OSHA Hand-Protection Requirements
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138 requires selection of hand protection based on glove performance, the tasks performed, working conditions, exposure duration and identified hazards. A1 cut resistance does not establish suitability for every sharp-edge task.
OSHA 1910.132(d) requires workplace hazard assessment and selection of properly fitting PPE. These are employer requirements, not OSHA certification of this product.
Understand the Ratings
Cordova lists ANSI/ISEA 105 cut A1, abrasion 5 and puncture 2. A1 is for comparatively low cut hazards; it does not make a glove cutproof. The puncture rating is not a hypodermic-needle rating. Assess sharp edges and points separately, and select higher protection when the task requires it.
Cordova’s 6920 product page additionally lists EN 388: 4131: abrasion 4, Coup cut 1, tear 3 and puncture 1. The page does not specify an edition year. These EN results use different classifications from the ANSI ratings and should not be treated as direct equivalents.
Food Contact, Fit and Care
Cordova states that the component materials comply with federal food-contact regulations under 21 CFR Parts 170–199. This is a material-compliance statement, not FDA product approval. Follow your facility’s food-handling and sanitation procedures.
Select from ASA’s available sizes. Check fingertip fit and hand movement before work. Avoid excess material that interferes with gripping small parts. Record both S6920 and the selected size for repeat orders; one dozen means twelve pairs, not twelve individual gloves.
Wash with warm water and commercial laundry detergent at no more than 50°C/122°F. Air-dry or tumble-dry with low heat, following Cordova’s instructions. Inspect the knit, coating and dots before reuse. Replace gloves with damage, excessive wear or contamination that cleaning cannot safely remove.
