Fitting & Daily Care
With clean hands, roll the entire earplug into a narrow, crease-free cylinder. Reach over your head, pull the ear up and back, and insert the compressed plug. Hold it for 30–40 seconds while it expands. Follow the manufacturer’s full fitting instructions and refit if either plug does not seal properly.
Inspect plugs before fitting. Discard them if dirty, damaged or unusually hard, and discard single-use plugs at the end of each shift. Remove them slowly with a gentle twisting motion. Store unused supplies away from dirt and damage.
Buying Guide: Corded Hearing Protection
The cord is convenient for workers moving between noisy and quiet tasks, but it must be assessed for entanglement hazards near moving equipment. Remove plugs only after leaving hazardous noise. For repeat orders, specify LPF-30 and the 100-pair box quantity. Smaller size does not remove the need for individual fitting.
Applicable Standards & Hearing Conservation
The manufacturer lists ANSI S3.19-1974 as the U.S. attenuation test protocol. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.95 requires a hearing conservation program in general industry at an eight-hour time-weighted average of 85 dBA or greater. Employers must evaluate protection and provide proper fitting and training.
