Choose the Light for the Task
Portwest lists beam distances of 10 yards on high and 5 yards on medium. Check the illuminated area at your working distance before starting. A nearby label, latch or tool needs different coverage from a large workspace. Use additional lighting where the task requires a wider view.
The published runtime is 2/4 hours. Plan charging around the time the light will actually be used rather than assuming one charge covers a full shift. Check operation before leaving a well-lit area, and have another suitable light available when continued illumination is necessary.
Charging and Garment Care
Remove the LED unit to recharge it through a compatible USB port, following the supplied instructions. Check the light and charging connection for damage before use. Keep charging arrangements consistent with the manufacturer’s directions; do not assume every USB device or adapter is appropriate.
Remove the light before washing the beanie. Follow the garment care label and reinstall the module only after the hat is dry. The removable design allows the knit garment and electronic component to be handled separately during cleaning.
Fit and Color Selection
Choose black or yellow from ASA’s available options. For repeat orders, record B029 and the selected color. One-size sizing still requires a fit check: the hat should stay positioned without covering the eyes or allowing the lamp to shift during normal movement. Yellow fabric alone does not establish an ANSI high-visibility rating.
