Global Glove 519INT convertible mitts combine a black fleece shell with 40 grams of 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation and tricot lining. A flip-up hood covers the fingers for mitten use, then folds back for fingertip access. PVC dots cover the palm for grip. ASA lists this model under SKU S519HF.

Manufacturer-Listed Performance Standards
The official sheet lists ANSI/ISEA 105-2016 abrasion Level 3 and puncture Level 3, with a puncture result of 96 newtons. It does not assign an ANSI cut level. Puncture testing does not establish hypodermic-needle protection.
EN 388:2016 + A1:2018, 2322X identifies abrasion 2, circular-blade cut 3, tear 2 and puncture 2; X indicates no reported ISO 13997 cut result. EN circular-blade Level 3 is not ANSI A3. Ratings describe tested material performance and do not extend protection to uncovered fingers.
Applicable OSHA Hand Protection Requirements
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138 requires hand protection selected for identified hazards, glove performance, tasks, conditions and exposure duration. OSHA 1910.132(d) requires hazard assessment and properly fitting PPE. These employer duties are not product certification.
Using the Convertible Design Safely
Opening the hood exposes the fingertips to cold and contact hazards. Use fingerless mode only where the task assessment permits exposed skin. Close the hood when fingertip access is no longer needed. Avoid loose fabric near moving equipment and follow machinery instructions.
The sheet provides no minimum temperature, safe exposure duration or EN 511 cold rating. Insulation weight does not establish subzero protection. Evaluate temperature, wind, moisture and work duration; compare full-finger insulated work gloves when continuous coverage is needed.
Arrange detailed work so fingertip exposure stays brief. Keep dry replacements available during the shift and follow workplace warming procedures. If numbness or loss of dexterity develops, stop the cold exposure and notify the responsible supervisor.
Inspection and Fit
Check the hood, magnet, seams and palm dots before use. Choose a fit that allows movement without compressing insulation. Test grip on actual items, especially when damp or icy. Replace damaged mitts and follow manufacturer care instructions.
