- EN 388:2016+A1:2018 — 3242X: Abrasion 3, circular-blade cut 2, tear 4 and puncture 2. The X indicates no reported ISO 13997 cut classification.
- EN 511:2006 — 02X: Convective cold Level 0 and contact cold Level 2; X means no water-penetration performance rating is claimed.
Cut resistance does not mean cut-proof, and the puncture rating is not a hypodermic-needle rating. EN 511 does not establish a minimum safe working temperature or exposure duration.
Cold-Weather Fit and Coverage
A 15-gauge nylon shell covers a 7-gauge brushed acrylic terrycloth liner. The three-quarter PVC coating extends beyond the palm while leaving part of the knit shell exposed. These are not fully waterproof gloves; select separately documented protection for immersion or hazardous liquids.
Choose a size that allows movement without compressing the liner. Warmth depends on fit, moisture, activity and exposure. Inspect the coating, knit shell and cuffs before use; replace damaged gloves and follow supplied care instructions.
Applicable OSHA Hand-Protection Requirements
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138 requires appropriate hand protection for hazards including cuts, abrasions, punctures and harmful temperature extremes. Selection must consider glove performance, the task, conditions and exposure duration.
