HexArmor Chrome SLT 4066 Glove FAQ

What cut rating does the HexArmor Chrome SLT 4066 have?

HexArmor lists ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A7 for the Chrome SLT 4066. This laboratory rating does not make the glove cut-proof.

Does the 4066 provide 360-degree cut resistance?

Yes. HexArmor states that the HPPE and steel interior liner provides 360-degree cut resistance around the hand.

What leather is used in the Chrome SLT 4066?

The manufacturer specifies buffalo skin leather for the 4066. The leather works with the interior cut liner and secure cuff design.

What arc-flash rating does this glove have?

HexArmor lists Arc Flash CAT 3 with an ATPV of 25.8 cal/cm². The glove must still be selected as part of a complete arc-rated PPE system based on the employer's hazard assessment.

Does the 4066 protect against electrical shock?

No. An arc-flash rating is not an electrical-insulation rating. Use properly classed electrical-insulating gloves and protectors when voltage hazards require them.

What does Contact Heat Level 2 mean?

HexArmor publishes Contact Heat Level 2 under its tested performance profile. It is a laboratory rating, not a guarantee for continuous heat exposure. Match the glove to the actual temperature, contact time and task.

Which sizes does ASA currently offer?

The current ASA options are Small, Medium, Large, XL and 2X. Choose a secure fit that preserves dexterity without excess material or restrictive pressure.
