Stearns identifies I580 in its certificate library. Its linked anti-exposure coverall approval (archival PDF) specifies Type V and approval only when worn. That certificate expired March 8, 2022; it is historical documentation, not confirmation of current production approval.
Choosing Marine Cold-Weather Protection
The suit’s flotation and weather coverage do not establish a guaranteed survival time. Do not substitute it for a vessel-required immersion suit. Match the garment label, wearer measurements, task and rescue arrangements before use. Sealed seams and wrist closures do not justify an unlimited waterproof claim.
Workplace Requirements
