ArcOne Carrera Auto-Darkening Welding Helmet
The ArcOne Carrera is an auto-darkening welding helmet for fabrication shops, repair work and welding training. ASA SKU S1000F-0171 identifies the Carrera shell with the 1000F filter. The filter provides a shade 4 light state and adjustable dark shades 9–13, with True Color technology and a grind setting.

Choosing the Correct Filter Settings
Set the dark shade for the welding process and amperage before striking an arc. Sensitivity controls detection response; delay controls the return to the light state. Auto-darkening does not mean the helmet automatically chooses the correct protective shade for the task.
Fit and Equipment Selection
Check that the headgear holds the helmet securely and that the lens remains aligned with your eyes in the working position. If a respirator is required, verify clearance and fit with the exact facepiece. A wider shell is not a guarantee that every respirator will fit.
Eye and Face Protection Requirements
OSHA 1910.133 requires suitable eye and face protection, including filter shades appropriate to the work. OSHA 1910.252(b)(2) addresses welding eye protection. Select shade by process and current; a helmet’s available shade range is not the correct setting for every job.
Inspect the shell, headgear, filter and cover lenses before use. Wear the required primary eye protection beneath the helmet. Stop work if the filter fails to darken correctly. A welding helmet does not provide respiratory protection.
Use the markings and instructions supplied with the helmet to confirm its ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3 configuration. Do not use the grind setting for welding. Choose a different filter if the required shade or process capability is outside this model’s documented limits.
