Choose the Lens for Your Work Area
Clear lenses suit indoor work where available light should be preserved. Gray lenses reduce brightness for outdoor daytime work. Indoor/outdoor lenses provide an intermediate tint for mixed-light environments. Indoor/outdoor tint is fixed; it does not automatically darken and lighten like a photochromic lens.
Check visibility at the actual workstation before selecting a tint. Dark lenses can make details harder to see in dim areas, while UV filtering alone does not establish suitability for welding, lasers or other intense light sources. Choose specialized eyewear when the exposure requires it.
Safety Standards and Limitations
3M's current Virtua product information lists ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2020 impact-rated performance. Check the markings and instructions on the supplied variant. These glasses are intended for industrial and occupational use.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.133 requires employers to select appropriate eye protection, including side protection where flying objects are present. OSHA does not approve individual glasses. This wraparound design does not seal against dust or chemical splash; use goggles and additional face protection when required.
Fit and Care
Check that the glasses remain stable and work with other required PPE. A unisex design does not guarantee a fit for every face. Follow the supplied cleaning instructions, inspect lenses and temples before use, and replace eyewear that is damaged or scratched enough to affect visibility. No coating guarantees fog-free or scratch-proof performance.

- Are all Virtua glasses anti-fog? No. 3M offers separate hard-coat and anti-fog variants. The standard 11326, 11327 and 11328 models are hard-coat options.
- Do these glasses include reading magnification? No magnification is specified for these options. Virtua Readers are separate products.
- Can they replace prescription glasses? No. Select prescription safety eyewear or an approved over-the-glasses design if corrective lenses are required.
