Select for the actual chemical
60925 is a formaldehyde/organic vapor cartridge, not a general multi-gas cartridge. Its P100 filter captures particles; that rating does not add protection against ammonia, acid gases, or every solvent. Match each chemical on the product safety data sheet to the respirator approval and selection guidance.
For laboratories or salons, evaluate the process as well as the product ingredients. Heating, mixing, and application methods can affect exposure. Ventilation and other required controls remain part of the workplace program; a cartridge purchase does not establish that a task is safe.
Facepiece and eye protection
Applicable 3M bayonet models include 6000, 6500/6500QL, 7500, and FF-400 series respirators. Confirm the exact approved assembly before installation. Secure Click uses a different connection system. Inspect the facepiece, cartridge connections, and packaging before issuing replacement pairs.
For formaldehyde protection, OSHA permits an approved half-mask respirator instead of a full facepiece only with effective gas-proof goggles. Ordinary safety glasses do not meet that requirement. Check that other protective equipment does not interfere with the respirator seal.

Does P100 mean complete protection?
No. It describes particulate filter efficiency under test conditions. Actual protection also depends on selection, fit, assembly, and correct use.
How often must formaldehyde cartridges be replaced?
Under OSHA's formaldehyde standard, cartridges without an approved end-of-service-life indicator must be replaced according to the required change schedule or at the end of the workshift, whichever comes first. Earlier replacement may be necessary. Keep replacement records for each affected worker with the assigned respirator and exposure assessment; do not carry used formaldehyde cartridges into another shift.
