Choosing the Clear Ztek Model
Clear lenses are a practical choice where workers need eye protection without a dark tint. Evaluate visibility at the actual workstation, including labels, small components and controls. For outdoor assignments in bright sunlight, compare Ztek gray safety glasses and select the lens appropriate to the lighting.
S2510S does not have H2X anti-fog treatment. Pyramex identifies the clear H2X version as S2510ST and the smaller clear Mini Ztek as S2510SN. Record the complete part number when purchasing replacements so lens treatment and frame size remain consistent.
Safety Standards & OSHA Requirements
Pyramex's current family sheet lists ANSI/ISEA Z87.1-2020 high-impact performance and CAN/CSA Z94.3-2020. The S2510S entry shows P Z87 + U6 lens markings and a CSA temple marking. The plus sign identifies high-impact performance; U6 identifies the UV-filter classification.
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.133 requires eye protection appropriate to workplace hazards and side protection where flying objects present a risk. Select eyewear through the employer's hazard assessment and verify markings on the supplied product.
