Understanding the Performance Ratings
Cordova identifies the 3050 as ANSI A3 cut resistant with ANSI abrasion Level 3. Its product page also lists the older EN 388 code 3444 and legacy ANSI Cut Level 3 information. Legacy numerical cut levels and current A-series ratings are different classifications; they should not be treated as interchangeable.
A3 cut resistance does not make the glove cut-proof. Select protection for the actual edge, handling force and contact conditions. A mechanical puncture rating does not establish needle protection. Neither the Kevlar shell nor the latex palm alone establishes protection against heat, chemicals or electrical hazards.
