H24R cap-style hard hats with ratchet adjustment
The H24R cap-style hard hat combines a non-vented, high-density polyethylene shell with a four-point ratchet suspension. ASA lists this model as ANSI Type I, Class E and G, with 20 hard hats per case. Its low-profile shape, adjustable wearing height, and cushioned brow pad give teams practical fit features for work where this level of head protection is appropriate.
Key features
- Ratchet adjustment for headband fit.
- Vertical adjustment for wearing height.
- Cushioned pad at the brow.
- Cap-style shell with a front brim.
- Color selection for workplace identification.
Applications
Where the job assessment permits Type I protection:
- General construction activities.
- Manufacturing and assembly work.
- Warehouse and facility maintenance.
- Assessed utility tasks requiring electrical-class headwear.
Keep the model and suspension information in your purchasing records so replacement orders match the approved equipment already issued to workers at your facility.
Understand Type I protection
Type I hard hats are designed to reduce impact force from a blow to the top of the head. Type II head protection addresses top and lateral impacts. A cap brim, full brim, or ratchet suspension does not change the impact designation by itself.
Choose the type specified by your site’s hazard assessment. If lateral impact protection is required, select a suitable Type II model. This cap-style listing should not be treated as a climbing helmet or a full-brim configuration.
Electrical class is a test classification
Class E helmets undergo electrical proof testing at 20,000 volts; Class G testing uses 2,200 volts. These laboratory values are not safe working-voltage limits. They do not authorize contact with energized equipment or replace the other protective measures required for electrical work.
Check the markings on the supplied helmet and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. A non-vented appearance alone does not establish electrical protection. Avoid drilling holes or making modifications that could affect the shell’s performance.
Select color and adjust fit
Use ASA’s color selector to choose the required option. Color can help identify crews or roles, but it does not establish a visibility certification. The ratchet adjusts headband fit, while vertical adjustment changes how the suspension sits within the shell.
Check that the assembled helmet remains secure during normal movement without excessive pressure. Use only compatible replacement suspensions and accessories. Compare cap-style hard hats when choosing a different fit or model for your team.
