Applications

Cordova lists appliance manufacturing, aerospace, sensitive assembly operations and wiring. Consider these gloves for handling components where fingertip control and access to digital work instructions matter. Select protection for the actual task; wiring applications do not imply electrical insulation.

Touchscreen Access During Assembly

The conductive fibers are located at three fingertips, giving workers options for tapping controls or navigating a compatible device. Check response with your workplace scanner, tablet or phone before selecting gloves for an entire team. Screen protectors, fit and surface contamination can affect operation.

Use a clean glove when moving between parts and shared screens. Touchscreen compatibility does not establish electrostatic discharge protection or cleanroom suitability. For sensitive electronics or controlled environments, confirm the separate requirements of your facility before use.

Applicable OSHA Hand-Protection Requirements

OSHA 29 CFR 1910.138 requires selection of hand protection based on glove performance, the tasks performed, working conditions, exposure duration and identified hazards. The glove’s listed mechanical ratings do not establish suitability for every sharp-edge task.

OSHA 1910.132(d) requires workplace hazard assessment and selection of properly fitting PPE. These are employer requirements, not OSHA certification of this product.

Coating and Protection Limits

The polyurethane palm leaves the knit back exposed. This construction is not a waterproof enclosure or a chemical barrier. Assess grip with representative components, especially where oils or other residues are present.

Cordova’s 6903 product page lists EN 388: 4131: abrasion level 4, Coup cut level 1, tear level 3 and puncture level 1. Cordova does not specify the edition year on that page. The puncture result does not establish hypodermic-needle resistance. Do not interpret the four-digit code as an ANSI A4 rating or a guarantee against cuts. Match mechanical protection to the edges and surfaces involved, and use a separately rated glove when greater protection is required.

Cordova describes the PU coating as free of latex proteins and chemical accelerators. That material statement does not guarantee that every wearer will avoid irritation or an allergic reaction.

California warning: Cancer and Reproductive Harm. See www.P65Warnings.ca.gov and the manufacturer’s specification sheet for the warning supplied with this product.

Fit, Care and Ordering

Choose the size that allows comfortable finger movement without excess material at the tips. Order each required size separately; one dozen contains twelve pairs, not twelve individual gloves.

Wash with commercial laundry detergent in water no hotter than 50°C/122°F. Air-dry or tumble-dry on low heat. Inspect the shell, coating and fingertips before reuse, replacing damaged or excessively worn gloves.

Read the Cordova 6903 specification sheet (PDF). Compare other general purpose work gloves.
