Fall Protection Equipment and Safety Systems

Find Full-Body Harnesses, Lanyards, Lifelines and Anchorage Connectors

Order fall protection equipment for construction, roofing, utilities, maintenance, manufacturing, rescue, and other work-at-height programs. Compare full-body harnesses, energy-absorbing lanyards, self-retracting lifelines, anchorage connectors, lifeline systems, fall protection kits, and dropped-object tool tethers from 3M DBI-SALA, Protecta, Miller, MSA, Guardian, and Ironwear.

A harness alone is not a complete personal fall arrest system. Select compatible body support, connectors, anchorage, lanyard or self-retracting device, and any required lifeline components based on the task, worker and tool weight, anchorage location, fall clearance, free-fall limits, rescue plan, and manufacturer instructions. Tool tethers help address dropped-object hazards but are not components of a personal fall arrest system.

OSHA establishes employer and system requirements; it does not “approve” individual harnesses or fall-protection products. Personal fall protection equipment must be inspected before initial use during each workshift, and defective or impact-loaded components must be removed from service as required by OSHA 29 CFR 1910.140 and the applicable construction standards. A competent or qualified person should select, supervise, and evaluate systems where required, and the employer must provide for prompt rescue after a fall.
